MA Oxon MRTPI. Roy spent over 30 years with the Planning Inspectorate and undertook over 20 Local Plan examinations and inquiries across England. He presently focusses on undertaking advisory work with local authorities progressing their draft Local Plans in the London Boroughs.
He was a member of the examining panel for two Regional Spatial Strategies, and conducted inquiries into objections to the New Forest National Park Designation Order and Variation Orders for extensions to the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District National Parks.
Roy has also dealt with over 1000 planning appeals and held inquiries into objections to Compulsory Purchase Orders concerning housing and planning issues.
Prior to PINS, Roy worked in local government for a County Council, a District Council and a London Borough.
